One of the principal elements in a company is to have access to reports at anytime, anywhere. The Analytics Portal gives an organisation the ability to access relevant reports from different devices.
The Analytical portal provides a gateway to reports like Crystal Reports or Microsoft Excel that can be published to share with other users. To access the portal, you can use web browser (Google Chrome) by simply entering the server address followed by the port number.
Every SAP Business One user has access to the analytical portal, and they can see the reports which are authorized to that user. The authorization of these documents is managed per user in SAP Business one and reflects in the analytical portal.
Reports can now be downloaded directly and support different formats. For Microsoft Excel, available report formats are PDF, Excel or HTML and for Crystal reports available format is PDF.
There is flexibility to download the reports in different formats, means it is not necessary to have an SAP Business one client or Microsoft excel to access this report and the key benefit is, the report are made available on different devices such as web client or a mobile device supporting on-premise and on-demand users.
When a user has accessed the portal, the most relevant reports can be marked as favourites, the favourite report tab is then shown as active. Reports can be scheduled daily, weekly or monthly and the results can be sent via mail to the relevant recipients.
When the report is scheduled, the report scheduling tab is also shown as active. Report runs are saved in the report running history and information like report name, type, start date, time and run status. Report result can be downloaded and viewed.
This functionality gives a company the possibility to schedule reports, share them, get access to them from different devices and gain an overview of historical data.
